| No. 45 ~ The Frank Damron House311 D Street
This Craftsman-style house was built in 1912 by Frank Damron, who purchased the site from Frank Kimball of National City. Damron and his wife, Clementine, lived in the house along with a team of workers in the nearby lemon groves. In 1939, the house was sold to Margaret Cameron, who raised a family of five children, all of whom attended Chula Vista High School. The house was sold to the current owner after Cameron's death in 1996. The house is significant as an early example of Craftsman architecture and as one of the few houses in Chula Vista to also include a cellar. |
